Teacher of Science – Beacon Independent School

Salary:£32,916 – £45,352 (depending on experience)
SEN Allowance: £2,787
Hours:8:00am – 4:00pm, Term Time Only
Start Date: Flexible

  

Beacon Independent School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Science to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire curiosity and confidence in young learners within a nurturing and inclusive setting.

We’re looking for a teacher who can adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and support the emotional and social development of our students. Experience working with children in a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)setting is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Science lessons both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Support  the emotional and social wellbeing of students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help      them succeed.
  • Prepare and maintain learning resources and classroom environments.
  • Transport students as required, ensuring safety and      wellbeing.
  • Promote positive behaviour in line with school policy.

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience with SEMH students or a willingness to learn.
  • A flexible, empathetic, and resilient approach.
  • A full, clean driving licence is desirable due to transport duties.
